Gabions Of Woven Wire

Woven wire gabions are made of woven wire netting. The wire is galvanized or protected with a combination of galvanization and PVC. The baskets are filled with stones on a vibration table in order to achieve the maximum compactness and they are delivered to the construction site in their finished form.

Woven gabions get the name in contrast with welded gabions. Gabions can be made of woven wire mesh flexible twisted, they can also be made of welded mesh.

The opening types of the woven gabions are normally hexagonal with wires twisted, while the welded gabions are normally square opening or diamond opening.

Processing involved: Woven gabions are made by twisting of wire, while welded gabions are made by welding of steel wire.

Both are popular structure units for retaining, geogrid and reinforcing.
